The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a 32-year-old woman died in a crash on Interstate 95 in Brevard County on Memorial Day.
According to troopers, the incident happened in the southbound lanes of I-95 around mile marker 188 in Melbourne, just north of the Pineda Causeway.
The collision included a Ford F-350 and a Honda Odyssey. The F-350 had a tire blowout, which officials suspect caused the crash.
The driver of the Honda, identified as an adult lady, died on the spot.
Three children were in the vehicle and were brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue. One of the babies was eight months old. Two boys, aged three and four, were also injured.
The driver of the Ford was not taken to the hospital and remained at the scene.
The inside and center southbound lanes of I-95 are currently closed. The outside lane is now open.
This crash is still under investigation.
