Fatal Crash Near Aransas Pass Claims Lives of Two Passengers, Injures Third

The medical examiner identified two victims who died in an automobile accident near Aransas Pass on Memorial Day.

The Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office identified them as Brittany Lesikar, 40, and Abraham Zamora, 32, of Victoria.

The Aransas Pass Police Department (APPD) reported it got many complaints of an accident on Highway 361 near Harbor Island Road on Monday around 2:53 a.m.

Police said Zamora was driving a Dodge Ram 2500 with Lesikar and another woman when he collided with a parked Kia vehicle, forcing his truck to flip over. His third passenger was rushed to the hospital, but her status is yet unknown.

The driver of the Kia was detained for DWI, but his passenger was released to his relatives.

According to APPD, alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
