WRC and Sterling Event Services: Empowering the Community Through Support and Service

Published On:

Dothan, Al. (WDNews) – Wiregrass Daily News had the pleasure of meeting with Emily Grace Brunson, Community Relations Coordinator for the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center (WRC), and representative of Sterling Event Services to learn more about the organization’s impact in the Wiregrass.

The WRC, a nonprofit, has been serving adults with mental and physical disabilities for over 60 years, offering services that promote independence and meaningful employment.

The center helps individuals find jobs either off campus or within one of the 15 on-site businesses, including the well-known WRC Furniture Gallery. It also operates an adult daycare facility, where participants enjoy on-campus activities and community field trips.

WRC offers event spaces that accommodate up to 400 people, fully equipped for seminars, training luncheons, and other gatherings. Sterling Event Services, tied closely to the WRC, provides full-service catering and event planning on and off campus, covering everything from casual barbecues to elegant galas.

All proceeds from Sterling and WRC businesses go directly back into the organization to support its mission. For more information about catering services, visit
