TAYLOR, AL (WDNews) — If your pet is a photogenic animal, you may be able to win the Pet Photo Contest and assist the local senior population at the same time.
The Taylor Senior Center and homebound seniors in the Taylor neighborhood will benefit from the contest, which is being hosted by Lauren McKnight, this year’s Miss Taylor and a competitor in the next Miss National Peanut Festival Pageant.
All pet parents are asked to enter their most adorable pictures for the contest, which runs until July 31. The first entry costs $10, and each extra photo costs $5.
Every dollar raised directly benefits Taylor’s older people.
In addition to a restaurant gift card and a basket of toys and pet treats, the winner will also have major bragging rights.

It’s not just adorable dogs that are up for grabs. The competition is a part of McKnight’s philanthropic project,Sprouting Stories, which aims to engage and communicate with elders in order to create meaningful relationships.
Everybody’s narrative matters, in my opinion, McKnight stated. Additionally, this platform ensures that our seniors feel heard, respected, and never alone by giving them a voice.
Before July 31st, go ahead and go through your camera rolls and send in your best pet photos.
