BONIFAY, Fla. (WDNews)
– A high-speed pursuit involving multiple law enforcement agencies ended in Holmes County on June 4 with the arrest of a wanted felon.
According to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, the chase began in Walton County and continued along U.S. Highway 90. Deputies in Holmes County joined the pursuit as the suspect drove through several communities.
The chase came to an end in Bonifay after local police used a tactical maneuver to stop the vehicle. The suspect, later identified as Nathan Buxton, was taken into custody.
Authorities say the vehicle had been reported stolen, and Buxton had multiple outstanding warrants out of Alabama. He now faces several additional charges in Florida.
Officials credited the coordinated effort between agencies for bringing the situation to a safe conclusion.
