Vacant Home Engulfed in Flames Near Greater Beulah Baptist Church

Around 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dothan Fire Department personnel responded to a structure fire just outside of downtown Dothan (WDNews).

A house across the street from Greater Beulah Baptist Church in the 200 block of Headland Avenue was completely destroyed by flames. The fire happened just north of the city center.

Several firefighters from Dothan put out the fire. Over the treetops, flames could be seen.

Chris Etheredge, the deputy fire chief, said there were no injuries and the property was an empty building.

The cause of the fire is still being looked into.
