Cottondale, Fla. (WDNews) – Jackson County deputies have captured Chase Michael Howard, a man wanted on multiple violent felony warrants, after an intense foot chase Friday morning.
The incident began around 9 a.m. when deputies attempted to serve a warrant on Obert Road in Cottondale. Howard fled the scene on foot, prompting deputies to set up a perimeter and call in the JCSO K9 Tracking Unit.
Within two hours, the K9 team successfully tracked and located Howard. He was taken into custody without incident.
Howard will be transported back to Bay County, where he faces the original felony charges. Deputies confirmed the scene in Cottondale is now clear.
