DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) —
Police are searching for two teenage sisters from Dothan who have been reported as runaways and may be in the Montgomery area with a toddler.
The Dothan Police Department has issued active runaway juvenile alerts for 15-year-old Destiny Jakia Powell and her 17-year-old sister, D’Miya Janelle Powell.
Destiny was last seen by her mother around 9:30 p.m. on June 4, 2025, near the 500 block of Astor Court in Dothan. She is described as 5’09”, 142 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Authorities believe she may have traveled to Montgomery with her sister.
D’Miya was last seen around noon on June 5 near the 1800 block of Gibbs Circle in Montgomery. She is 5’07”, weighs 130 pounds, and also has black hair and brown eyes.
D’Miya is believed to be accompanied by her young son, Demonii Williams, born May 1, 2023. A photo of both D’Miya and Demonii was provided by their mother to help the public assist in locating them.
