TROY, Ala. (WDNews) —
Troy police are investigating a deadly series of events after three men were found shot to death late Sunday night.
At 10:31 p.m. on July 20, officers responded to New Street after someone reported a man lying in the road. When police arrived, they found a Black male dead from a gunshot wound.
A second victim was discovered inside a nearby home, also deceased. Investigators later learned the first victim’s gray Nissan Altima had been taken from the scene.
That same vehicle was found a short time later on North Three Notch near Needmor Road. Inside, officers found a third male, also deceased.
Troy Police are working with the Pike County District Attorney’s Office, Pike County Sheriff’s Office, and the Pike County Coroner’s Office to investigate the case. Authorities say there is no known threat to the public at this time.
