Bob Gross, a member of the Tri-State Area Choir, spoke with Wiregrass Daily News about an amazing patriotic event that is taking place this weekend in Dothan, Alabama (WDNews). The Governor’s Own band and the Tri-State Area Choir will perform at Covenant Methodist Church on Saturday, June 28th at 6 p.m. under the title “O America.”

A 150-piece band and more than 100 vocalists will perform a range of patriotic tunes. In Flanders Fields, a song penned by local band director and songwriter James Holmes by candlelight during Hurricane Michael, will be a particular highlight.

Singers of the choir range in age from young teenagers to 88 years old, and they come from Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. A potent and poignant homage to American pride and unity is anticipated at this event.
