TAYLOR, Ala. (WDNews) – A Taylor man has been arrested for violating Alabama’s Community Notification Act.

According to Taylor Police Chief James Brazier, 36-year-old Timothy James Wright was taken into custody on June 19, 2025, after failing to properly register as a convicted sex offender.

Police say Wright initially came into contact with officers during an unrelated incident on June 9. During that interaction, authorities discovered Wright had a prior conviction for Sexual Misconduct and instructed him to register with the Taylor Police Department within three business days.

Wright reported to the department on June 12, where he began but did not complete the required registration paperwork. His failure to follow through constituted a violation of the Community Notification Act.

Wright was arrested and booked into the Houston County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
