Dothan, Al. (WDNews) – Wiregrass Daily News met with Dr. Julie Turner, candidate for the Dothan City School Board Chairman, to discuss her priorities and goals for the district.
With a career in education spanning local, state, and federal levels, Dr. Turner brings a wide range of experience that she believes uniquely qualifies her for the position. Her passion for Dothan City Schools and its students is central to her campaign.
Dr. Turner stressed the importance of recognizing and embracing the diversity across the school system. She believes that all schools, regardless of their location or demographics, should receive equal resources, attention, and opportunities for success.
One of her key priorities is working alongside the superintendent to strengthen curriculum consistency across all grade levels and campuses.
She also places a strong emphasis on transparency, aiming to build trust between the school board and the community by making all decisions public and ensuring open communication at every stage of the process.
