Police Chase Hits 115 MPH Through Dothan, Ends Near Ozark

WDNews, Dothan, Alabama Police forced the fugitive vehicle to halt Friday night, ending a high-speed police chase that ripped through portions of Dothan and Dale County north of Ozark.

RSN reports that Dothan Police started the chase, which started close to Highland Avenue and Ross Clark Circle. On Reeves Street, the suspect drove north at up to 115 miles per hour. After returning to Ross Clark Circle, the car continued up Montgomery Highway.

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Kinsey Police, Midland City Police, ALEA Troopers, Dale County Sheriff’s Office, and Ozark Police were among the several organizations who joined the chase. During the pursuit, a police helicopter was also seen flying overhead.

North of Ozark, officers were able to execute a PIT maneuver at last, ending the pursuit and safely apprehending the offender.

Authorities were contacted by WDNews, but they did not provide the details of the chase. There were no reported injuries.
