Dothan, Ala.; WDNews– People Engaged in Recovery (PEIR|Dothan) is calling on the Wiregrass community to help individuals on the path to healing from addiction. The nonprofit is in urgent need of new items to support men and women actively working through recovery.
Requested donations include:
Socks (all sizes)
Underwear (all sizes)
Men’s shoes (any kind)
Men’s work boots
Men’s and women’s deodorant
Items can be dropped off at 1930 Wise Dr., Dothan, AL 36303, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.
While these items may seem small, PEIR says they make a big difference in helping individuals rebuild their lives with dignity, confidence, and hope.
Addiction recovery is real—and it’s a process. Many in recovery have lost family support and are starting over with very little. Offering even the simplest item can go a long way for someone facing this uphill battle. Community kindness and support not only lift spirits but also help tackle the broader drug crisis in the Wiregrass.
PEIR encourages residents to get involved and show up for those who are choosing recovery and working toward a brighter future.
