PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL. (WDNews) Dolly Parton’s expanding entertainment footprint in the area continues with the new owner of the tall SkyWheel at Pier Park.
The 187-foot-tall Ferris wheel was sold by SkyWheel Panama City Beach Limited to World Choice Investments LLC, the business that owns Dolly Parton’s Stampede and Pirates Voyage, two of Parton’s well-known dinner theaters. For those endeavors, World Choice acts as the operating partner.
A wider commitment to the local tourism and entertainment business is indicated by the transaction, which takes place only weeks after Parton’s Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show in Panama City Beach opened in June.
A ropes course and miniature golf course are also features of the SkyWheel attraction, which made its debut in 2018. It soon gained popularity as a landmark in the vicinity of Pier Park.
The former owners of SkyWheel expressed confidence regarding the way World Choice will take the attraction in a public statement, saying they are eager to see what the future holds under the new ownership.
There have been no announcements of modifications to everyday operations.
