Dothan Utilities will start replacing the water main on Commonwealth Court on Tuesday evening, August 19, starting at the intersection of West Main Street, according to WDNews.
Lane closures will be in effect from 6:30 p.m. on August 19 to 6:00 a.m. on August 20. Eastbound traffic will move to the south-eastbound lane, while westbound traffic will join into the north-eastbound lane until it leaves the work area.
Westbound traffic will use the north westbound lane and eastbound traffic will merge into the south westbound lane while the intersection undergoes more maintenance.
Throughout the day on August 20, 21, and August 25, work will continue along Commonwealth Court. Traffic will be allowed, but it will be rerouted around the construction area. Before construction starts at the junction of Commonwealth Court and West Burdeshaw Street to connect the new water line, a separate closure notice will be sent out.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution and pay close attention to any workers on the road.
