(WDNews) Following numerous reports of falls and injuries, a worldwide recall of over 300,000 Cosco 2-Step Kitchen Stepper stools has been issued.
The rear safety bar of the stool has broken or detached in 34 reported cases, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Head injuries were sustained in two of those incidents.
From February 2021 until July 2025, the recalled chairs were offered for sale in well-known stores like Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, and BJ’s Wholesale Club. Additionally, they were offered for sale online at Overstock, Wayfair, and Amazon. The impacted stools had the Cosco logo molded into the step handle and were available in blue, navy, green, and white/gray. The recall involves multiple model numbers, which are listed on a label that is fastened to one of the stool’s arms.
Customers are advised to call Dorel Home Furnishings for a free repair kit and to cease using the stools right away. You can contact the company via email at [email protected] or by phone at (888) 628-3778.
