DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) – A fire broke out Thursday morning at the Carriage House Apartments on Sheila Drive, prompting an emergency response and nearby evacuations.
Dothan fire crews arrived on scene around 8:30 a.m. and found flames coming from one of the apartment buildings. While the fire appeared to be contained to that single structure, residents in neighboring units were evacuated as a precaution.
No injuries were reported.
Roads in and out of the complex were temporarily blocked as firefighters worked to put out the blaze. Investigators remained on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
