According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), the Kraft Heinz Foods Company has recalled almost 368,000 pounds of Oscar Mayer turkey bacon nationwide after routine testing indicated potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

The fully cooked Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon Original items made at the company’s Newberry, South Carolina, facility between April 24 and June 11, 2025, are subject to the recall.

Items included by the recall:

12-oz vacuum-packed containers with lot code RS40, UPC 071871548601, and expiration dates ranging from July 18 to August 2, 2025.

36-oz multipacks (three 12-oz packets) with lot codes RS19, RS40, or RS42, UPC 071871548748, with expiration dates ranging from July 23 to September 4, 2025.

48-ounce multipacks (four 12-ounce packets) with lot codes RS19, RS40, or RS42, UPC 071871548793, and expiration dates ranging from July 18 to September 4, 2025.

The USDA inspection stamp is present on all recalled shipments, which were shipped to stores across the country. Some of the products were also shipped to Hong Kong and the British Virgin Islands.

Internal laboratory tests at the Kraft Heinz site revealed the contamination issue. Although no illnesses have been recorded thus far, FSIS advises customers to avoid consuming the recalled products and to inspect their freezers and refrigerators.

Customers should get in touch with a healthcare professional right away if they think they may have had Listeria symptoms, which include fever, aches in the muscles, nausea, or diarrhea.
