Kim Kardashian may not be in Paris for the finest of reasons, but she is there, and she’s dressed accordingly.
The reality star and entrepreneur came at the Palais de Justice today with her mother, Kris Jenner, for the next round of her continuing jewelry heist judicial proceedings. Ten people are on trial for allegedly stealing millions of dollars in jewelry from Kardashian in 2016.
Readers may recall that the Skims creator was in the French capital for Paris Fashion Week when a group of criminals came into her hotel suite at Hôtel de Pourtalès, blindfolded her, tied her up, and held her at gunpoint while taking all her valuable jewelry.
The case is fraught with drama, and Kardashian reflected that drama in her wardrobe choices for her court appearance today. She was pictured arriving for the shoot wearing a black suit-inspired John Galliano gown with jutted shoulders and a wavy peplum accent at the waist. Buttons ran all the way down the floor-length vintage dress, with a high split at the back of the skirt.
Kardashian paired the black gown with Saint Laurent’s pointy black slingback heels, jet-black cat-eye sunglasses, and a flashy diamond necklace from Samer Halimeh New York, as well as matching diamond earrings (including a $8,100 Briony Raymond ear cuff), rings, and an anklet—to show the thieves what they were missing. The jewelry totaled $7 million, according to Page Six.
Jenner also dressed in an oversized black, white, and red plaid Bottega Veneta blazer (also worn by her daughter Kendall Jenner), which she paired with a pristine white dress shirt, black slacks, and a maroon tie. She completed her ensemble with clunky black shoes, a maroon backpack, dark aviator sunglasses, and a sharp, curled-up haircut.
