DESTIN, Fla. (WDNews) — Four people were injured Thursday evening when a touring helicopter crashed on a runway at Destin Executive Airport, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred shortly before 7 p.m. All four individuals on board were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, authorities said.
The incident remains under investigation.
“We are grateful there were no serious injuries and thank all responding agencies for their quick and coordinated efforts,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
