Free Workshop Series Empowers Dothan’s Single Parents

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews)

– A new workshop series designed to uplift and assist single parents is launching in Dothan this July. The “Single Parent Support Workshops” will begin with its first session on Monday, July 1, at 6 p.m. CST at the G.W. Carver Interpretive Museum, located at 305 N. Foster St.

Faith Forward Outreach is partnering with the Carver Museum to host the free event, with a focus on educating, equipping, and empowering single-parent families. Session one will spotlight health and wellness, featuring guest speaker Sameka Parks of Vibe Nutrition.

“These workshops are FREE. However, you do have to register,” said Dr. Kim P. Carroll, the event’s contact.
