– A free financial literacy event aimed at helping young adults gain money management skills is set to take place in Dothan later this month.
The “Financial Literacy Extravaganza,” hosted by R.I.S.E. (Reaching Individual Success Thru Empowerment), will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Izell Reese Center, located at 900 Sixth Ave. in Dothan.

The workshop will be presented by Carrie Wilson Consulting. According to organizers, the goal is to empower young people with the tools they need to build a stable financial future.
The event is free, but young adults are encouraged to reserve a spot in advance using the provided QR code.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available, and donations can be made through Cash App, PayPal, Venmo, or by check to R.I.S.E. For more information, contact Carrie Wilson at 334-790-6262 or email
