Aaron McCreight and assistant coach Edu Zurita of Dothan United were interviewed by Wiregrass Daily News on the team’s recent playoff-clinching victory and this Saturday’s significant Fourth of July celebration at Rip Hewes Stadium.

After missing out by just one game the previous season, the Dragons formally guaranteed their spot in the playoffs this past Tuesday night courtesy to a decisive victory and Tennessee’s defeat.

Dothan United is presently awaiting a league verdict on their application to host the forthcoming playoff games. In order for supporters and the community to make appropriate preparations, the team wants to learn quickly.

This Saturday, fans are urged to arrive at Rip Hewes Stadium early. At 5:30 PM, the gates open. Kickoff is thirty minutes sooner than usual at 7:00 PM. At 9:00 PM, the Fourth of July fireworks display will start. Along with a rock climbing wall and other family-friendly events, the Army National Guard will also be there.

Additionally, the evening is designated as Military and First Responders Appreciation Night. All earnings will be donated to the Wiregrass United Way, which supports vital services in the area.

This goes beyond a simple contest. The community, the team, and the supporters are all celebrating.

Bring the family, enjoy the largest fireworks display Rip Hewes Stadium has ever seen, and see a fantastic game.
