ENTERPRISE: Temporary Road Closures Planned on Daleville Avenue as Waterline Project Advances

Published On:

As part of the City of Enterprise’s continuing waterline replacement project, portions of Daleville Avenue will be temporarily closed on weekdays for the next two weeks (WDNews).

It is anticipated that closures will start at 8:30 a.m. every day and reopen by 2:30 p.m. prior to school dismissal. The majority of vehicles will be diverted into Gundy Lane due to the presence of detour signs and flagmen. It is advised that drivers use caution when driving in the region, slow down in work zones, and factor in additional travel time.

Many of Enterprise’s antiquated waterlines will be replaced as part of a $2.9 million project that was announced in May, including the temporary closures. Airport Road, Kelly Street, Gilbert Street, Reese Avenue, Woodland Drive, and Daleville Avenue are among the streets that will continue to undergo work throughout the course of the upcoming year.

According to city authorities, upgrading this infrastructure will lower the likelihood of malfunctions and service outages and ensure that the community has dependable water delivery for many years to come.

The city also stated that resurfacing efforts and the replacement project are being tightly coordinated. According to officials, the City of Enterprise can safeguard newly installed pavement and save taxpayer money by taking care of subsurface pipes first.

About 1,800 service connections have been impacted by Enterprise’s replacement of over 24 miles of waterlines since 2020. Over $13.5 million has been invested on the project.
