OZARK, Ala. (WDNews) – A 65-year-old motorcyclist from Enterprise died Sunday afternoon following a crash on U.S. Highway 231 in Ozark.
According to Dale County Coroner John Cawley, the victim, identified as Rickey Hughes, was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of West Roy Parker Road. Preliminary findings suggest the driver of the car failed to yield the right-of-way, leading to the collision.
The Ozark Police Department’s traffic homicide division is investigating the crash, with assistance from the coroner’s office, Alabama State Troopers, and the Dale County Sheriff’s Office.
