DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) – The Dothan City Board of Education is inviting the public to attend an important Work Session on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, as part of the selection process for the next superintendent of Dothan City Schools.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the board meeting room located at 1665 Honeysuckle Road. The session will feature in-depth interviews with the top five finalists being considered for the position.
The interview schedule is as follows:
9:00–9:45 a.m. – Dr. Donnie Chambers
10:15–11:00 a.m. – Dr. Veronica Bayles
11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m. – Dr. Charles Corbitt
1:30–2:15 p.m. – Dr. Garrick Askew
2:45–3:30 p.m. – Dr. Kari McGann
District officials say this phase is critical to selecting a leader who will help shape the future of education in Dothan. Community members, parents, and educators are encouraged to attend and learn more about each candidate’s qualifications and vision.
Following the interviews, the Board of Education will host a public Meet and Greet reception with the finalists from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Board of Education central office. The reception will give attendees the opportunity to speak directly with the candidates, ask questions, and share their thoughts.
