Dothan Police Searching for Missing 52-Year-Old Man

Dothan, Ala. (WDNews) – Dothan Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man last seen on July 16, 2025.

According to the Dothan Police department, 52-year-old Author Lee Reaves Jr. was last spotted around 11:00 a.m. in the 1100 block of Ross Clark Circle after walking away from Southeast Health. He had just been discharged and has not been seen since.

Reaves is described as a Black male, 5’07” tall, weighing around 225 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what clothing he was wearing when he left the hospital. Authorities say he has no known means of transportation.

Police noted that Reaves has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and is known to walk in roadways. They stressed the importance of locating him quickly for his own safety.
