Dothan, Alabama (WDNews)—The Alabama Hospital Association’s Board of Trustees has elected three Wiregrass-affiliated healthcare leaders as Members-at-Large, enhancing the region’s influence over statewide healthcare choices.
At the Association’s recent Annual Meeting in Montgomery, Jeff Brannon of Flowers Hospital, Margaret Futch of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dothan, and Keith Granger of Flowers Hospital were formally elected.
Dr. Donald E. Williamson, president of the Alabama Hospital Association, stated that these three people contribute decades of expertise, strategic insight, and a strong interest in healthcare. Their ongoing participation will enhance our Board’s work and bolster the Association’s advocacy for patients and providers throughout the state.
Brannon, who was born in Hartford and is currently Flowers Hospital’s VP of business development, has worked in the medical industry for more than 40 years, most recently as the hospital’s CEO. In addition to serving on numerous state and national organizations, he was the past chair of the AlaHA Board.
Futch joins the board with over 40 years of experience in healthcare leadership. She has worked with Encompass Health of Dothan for more than 30 years, holding positions of leadership at the state and regional levels, including chairing AlaHA’s Rehab Constituency Section.
Granger has a long history in Alabama’s hospital community as the previous CEO of Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham and Flowers Hospital. In addition to serving on numerous state and national healthcare boards, he has overseen award-winning facilities.
Founded in 1921, the Alabama Hospital Association represents hospitals and health systems throughout the state and promotes laws that enhance the sustainability, quality, and accessibility of healthcare.
