This year’s Southeastern Fire Chiefs Conference honored two of Dothan’s top fire officials for their outstanding leadership and commitment to public safety (WDNews).
One of the major awards at the ceremony was the Key Fire Hose Leadership Award, which went to Fire Chief Larry Williams. According to the event organizers, the award is a tribute to his decades of devotion to the profession, innovative leadership, and steadfast dedication.
In addition, Deputy Chief Chris Etheridge received the President’s Award for his exceptional work in organizing and arranging the Southeastern Fire Chiefs Conference.
In a statement, the city of Dothan said, “These honors reflect the strength, integrity, and leadership we are privileged to have guiding our department.” Dothan is proud of you, Chief Williams and Deputy Chief Etheridge. Congratulations!
These honors are given out by the Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs (SEAFC) to honor individuals whose work sets an example for departments around the region.
