DOTHAN, AL (WDNews) — In response to allegations of potential glass contamination, Dollar General has voluntarily recalled their Clover Valley Instant Coffee.
Three batches of the 8-ounce product that were sold in Dollar General shops in 44 states, including Alabama, between July 9 and July 21, 2025, are recalled. The lots that were recalled are:

The lot and date information are printed around the container’s neck, along with the UPC code, which is 876941004069.
According to the business, a customer reported the problem, and no injuries have been verified. Glass particles can cause intestinal perforation, mouth or throat wounds, and tooth damage when consumed.
Customers are being advised by Dollar General to throw away the coffee and get in touch with customer support to receive a complete refund, tax included. Refunds can be requested via email at [email protected] or over the phone at 1-888-309-9030.
The business stated that it is looking into where the contamination came from. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is aware that the recall is being carried out.
