DOTHAN, AL. (WDNews) Blues lovers in the Wiregrass won’t have to go far to enjoy a memorable musical evening. On Friday, August 8, Devon Allman will bring his Blues SummitTour to the Dothan Opera House. The all-star roster is expected to put on a powerful spectacle.
The Dothan stop is a part of a national tour honoring Ruf Records’ upcoming Blues Summit record, which is scheduled for release in July. Blues legends Christone Kingfish Ingram, Robert Randolph, Jimmy Hall, Larry McCray, and Sierra Green all make cameos on the album.
Soulful guitarist Larry McCray, New Orleans powerhouse singer Sierra Green, and famous vocalist and harmonica player Jimmy Hall will accompany Allman on tour. They will work together to create a vibrant celebration of southern rock, soul, and blues that will light up the stage.
Devon Allman’s distinctive fusion of passionate guitar playing and poignant songwriting is carrying on the Allman family’s long history of blues music.
