Dothan, Ala (WDNews) – Voters planning to cast an absentee ballot in the 2025 Dothan Municipal Election should do so now, time is dwindling down. The election will take place on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, and includes races for Mayor, Associate Commissioners (Districts 1, 2, 3, & 4), and Dothan City Schools Board of Education (Chair & Districts 1, 2, 3 & 5).

Key Deadlines:
July 29 – Last day to return an absentee ballot application by mail
July 31 – Last day to hand-deliver an absentee ballot application to the City Clerk’s Office
August 4 (by 5:00 PM) – Deadline to hand-deliver completed absentee ballots
August 5 (by NOON) – Deadline for absentee ballots returned by mail
REMINDER: The last day to register to vote or update your registration for the municipal election is Monday, July 21.
