(WDNews) – Medtech Products Inc. has issued a nationwide recall of its Little Remedies Honey Cough Syrup for possible bacterial contamination.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the affected syrup may be contaminated with
Bacillus cereus
, a type of bacteria that can cause foodborne illness. Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps and diarrhea, typically appearing within one to 16 hours after exposure.
The recall affects 4-ounce bottles distributed through retail stores and online between December 2022 and June 2025. Impacted products can be identified by UPC 7-56184-10737-9 and the following lot numbers and expiration dates:

The product is marketed for children ages 1 and older. No other Little Remedies products are part of this recall, and no serious health incidents have been reported so far.
