Dothan, Ala. (WDNews) –

June 3 is World Bicycle Day, and if you have a bike and no place to ride, consider the Forever Wild Trails at Beaver Creek.

It is 400 acres of nature tucked between Flowers Chapel Road and Fortner Street.

This unique spot, part of Alabama’s Forever Wild Land Trust, offers more than 14 miles of scenic, wooded trails for all skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner out for a casual ride or an experienced mountain biker chasing airtime, there’s something for you.

For the more experienced bikers, the trail features like the Wall Ride Loop and Big Levee.

If you don’t have a bike but need something to do, there is a mile-long boardwalk through wetlands in addition to quiet nature paths ideal for hikers and nature lovers. With three trailheads at 384 Narcisse Dr., 3636 Fortner St., and 4276 Fortner St., it’s easy to get started.

Trail maps are available at each entry point. The Forever Wild Trails are open from 6:30 a.m. to dusk.
