Aging Is Living Conference Returns to Dothan August 15

DOTHAN, AL. (WDNews) The 2025 Aging Is Living: Dementia Education and Caregiver Conference, scheduled on Friday, August 15 at First United Methodist Church in Dothan, is currently accepting registrations.

The Rosemary House, SARCOA, and Respite Care Ministry are hosting the daylong event, which provides information and services for families affected by dementia, caregivers, and medical experts.

Dr. Rita Jablonski, a dementia researcher and caregiver advocate from UAB, and Dr. Beth Nolan, a specialist in Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care, are this year’s featured speakers. Legal planning, dementia behavior management, self-care, and prevention will all be covered.

Access to the on-site resource center opens at 8 a.m., and educational activities start at 9 a.m. All attendees will be given lunch.

Attendance is free for family caregivers. For professionals (nursing, social work, assisted living, nursing homes), the event offers five hours of continuing education credit (CEUs) for $45; general admission is $20.
