DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews)
— Attention local 6th through 12th graders! Are you interested in learning about becoming a medical professional? If so, Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) is offering a unique opportunity to explore the field up close.
ACOM will host a one-day Summer Camp on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its Dothan campus. The event is open to students in grades 6 through 12 and is designed to give participants a hands-on look into the world of medicine.
Students will spend the day engaging with ACOM faculty and students, gaining insight into what it takes to work in healthcare and exploring various medical career paths.
Organizers say the camp is a chance for students to get an inside look at medical careers in a fun, educational setting. Participants will spend the day getting to know ACOM faculty and staff while learning about the work they do.
