HOUSTON COUNTY, AL (WDNews) — Residents who wish to cast ballots in the August 25 municipal election in Alabama are running out of time.
Just one week remains until the registration deadline of Monday, August 11, 2025.
The Alabama Votes website allows eligible residents to register online with a valid driver’s license from the state of Alabama. Forms for voter registration can also be delivered in person or by mail to the Board of Registrars in your county.
You must be a U.S. citizen, live in Alabama, and be at least eighteen on election day in order to cast a ballot in Alabama. People who have been deemed mentally incompetent by a court or who have felony convictions that disqualify them are not eligible.
Voters must bring a valid photo ID to the polls on August 26 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Among the authorized IDs are:

Alabama driver license (valid or expired less than 60 days)

Valid student or employee ID from a college or university
