DOTHAN, AL (WDNews) On Friday morning, volunteers will assemble at the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center to participate in the Wiregrass United Way’s annual Pacesetter Kickoff, a spirited and significant occasion to assist families in need across the area.
Starting at 8:30 a.m., the event will feature a campaign video, a short program, and the announcement of this year’s fundraising target. Immediately after, 50,000 meals will be packed for the Wiregrass Area Food Bank by hundreds of community members and partners.
According to the organizers, we can’t wait to get started. Every meal counts. Every hand is helpful.
The event, which is sponsored by All In Credit Union, promises to be an exciting, interactive experience that demonstrates the value of community cooperation. Volunteers want to significantly reduce local food insecurity in just one hour.
