ENTERPRISE, AL. (WDNews) On Saturday, August 16, Enterprise will be the site of two popular competitions that are infused with Southern charm and a dash of good times as part of the Alabama Sweet Tea Festival.
Festival Field and the Enterprise Civic Center will host the event. From speed-sipping champions to backyard brewers, organizers are encouraging tea enthusiasts of all stripes to participate and showcase their prowess.

Do you have a recipe for sweet tea that has been handed down through the years? Both amateur and professional brewers are welcome to enter the Home-Brewed Tea Competition. There are two categories in which participants can enter their tea.People’s Choice and Judges Best offer the opportunity to earn up to $400 in cash prizes. The Pro-Master Brew Challenge is open to local eateries and food trucks, and the winner of Best Tea in Town will be the best commercial brew.
Festival attendees can also register for the exhilarating Sweet Tea Chugging Contest at the Visit Enterprise Information Tent. In this event, speed drinkers fight for bragging rights and a $50 cash prize in one of four age divisions: 13-20, 21-40, 41-60, and 60 & up.
According to festival organizers, this year’s competition will be the Sweetest Showdown in Alabama, regardless of whether you’re drinking or chugging.
