Families are being reminded by Dothan City Schools to put open house events on their calendars, which start next week.
Beginning on Tuesday, July 30, open houses will run through the beginning of August. To assist families with planning, each school in the district has set times based on the grade level or last name of the student. Sessions are held in the morning and afternoon.
Open houses for elementary and middle schools begin on July 30. On July 31, Dothan High School, Dothan City Virtual School, and Carver 9th Grade Academy will follow. The events for Dothan Prep Academy and Dothan 6th Grade Center are scheduled for August 4. Teachers will be contacting parents to set up exact times for the classes that day at the Dothan City Early Education Center.

In order to meet teachers, learn more about the classes, and give their kids confidence going into the 2025–2026 school year, school officials invite all parents and guardians to attend the open house that has been given to them.
