Dothan Residents Invited to Review 5-Year Development Plan

DOTHAN, AL (WDNews) — The Department of Planning and Development of the City of Dothan is announcing its proposed PY 2025 2029 Consolidated Plan and PY 2025 2026 Annual Action Plan for public review and discussion.

On August 5, 2025, at 10 a.m., a public hearing will be held at the Dothan City Commission Chambers, which are situated at 126 North St. Andrews Street.

The city’s aims for affordable housing and community development over the next five years are laid out in the consolidated plan. It also provides an overview of the city’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program’s objectives, initiatives, and financing sources.

The public can obtain draft copies of the plans until July 31, 2025, at the following locations:

1. Dothan-Houston County Library System, 445 N. Oates St., Downtown Branch.

2. Department of Planning and Development, 126 N. St. Andrews St.

3. Community Board, Dothan Civic Center, 1st Floor, 126 N. St. Andrews St.
