The Round Rock Express and Sugar Land Space Cowboys have had to reschedule their games on consecutive days due to unfavorable weather in the Central Texas area during the last few days.
When the two teams rematch in Round Rock the week of September 8, the second-to-last series of the regular season, the postponed games, which were originally set for July 5-6, will be made up as doubleheaders.
An email containing details on how to exchange their game tickets and parking passes will be sent to ticket holders for both games.
Tickets for the July 5 game can now be exchanged for any other game, and the enormous cap giveaway that was originally planned for that day will now happen on August 1 when the Express play the El Paso Chihuahuas.
Tickets for the July 6 game can be exchanged for any Sunday through Thursday game for the rest of the season.
In the event that tickets are swapped, the Express will provide the updated tickets and parking details once the transaction has been verified.
The Express won the first game of the series in Sugar Land 6-2, but they have lost their last three games, most notably losing to the Space Cowboys 7-6 in extra innings on Thursday night after giving up a 6-0 lead.
Josh Jung, a 2023 American League All-Star and Texas Rangers World Series champion, was scheduled to start for the Express for the first time this weekend. Jung was optioned to the Rangers Triple-A team this season after having a difficult season at the plate.
Next week, Round Rock will play the Albuquerque Isotopes, the Colorado Rockies Triple-A club, at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas.
