ENTERPRISE, AL. (WDNews) Coffee County residents now have a chance to take charge and help their communities by being prepared for disasters. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training course, which is set for August in Enterprise, is currently accepting registrations.
The Enterprise Fire Department Central Station, located at 301 Plaza Drive, will host the three sessions of the training. To be certified, participants must be present on all three dates:

August 8, 2025, Friday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

August 9, 2025, Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

August 23, 2025, Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
August 8, 2025, Friday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
August 9, 2025, Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
August 23, 2025, Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The $25 registration fee is tax deductible. In order for the class to be held, a minimum of 10 individuals must pre-register.
The public is educated on disaster preparedness for potential threats in their area by the Coffee County CERT program. It offers instruction in fundamental response skills such as disaster medical operations, team organization, light search and rescue, and fire safety.
When professional responders are not immediately available during emergencies, CERT participants can use the training to help others in their communities or places of employment.
