MONTGOMERY, AL (WDNews) — In a video message broadcast Wednesday in observance of Independence Day, Governor Kay Ivey urged the people of Alabama to consider the country’s founding, show appreciation for American service members, and commemorate the timeless principles that make America what it is.

Ivey described the occasion, which marks the 249th anniversary of the nation’s independence, as a potent reminder of America’s tenacity and fortitude.

What a significant achievement. Ivey stated in the video, “What a testament to the strength, the resolve, and the enduring spirit of the American people.” Since we in Alabama are aware that our freedoms weren’t gained easily, we never take them for granted.

The governor highlighted President Donald Trump’s role in reviving national pride and strength while applauding generations of military troops for defending American liberty.

To put it plainly, Ivey stated that our nation have the best combat force in history. And America is stronger than ever under President Trump’s resolute and powerful leadership.

Ivey said he was optimistic about the future of the United States, which will celebrate its 250th birthday next year.

“I’m more confident than ever that our best days are still ahead as we look toward our 250th year,” she remarked.

As she concluded her speech, Ivey urged the populace to celebrate the holiday with their loved ones and neighbors and to be proud of the American flag flying over Alabama.

According to Ivey, that is the essence of America, and it is very much present in Sweet Home, Alabama.

Ivey urged Alabamans to remember the sacrifices made for independence and to uphold the values that continue to bind the nation together as festivities spread throughout the Wiregrass and the state.
