(WDNews, Dothan, Alabama)This weekend, the 151st Army Band and the Tri-State Community Choir will present a free concert called O, America, which promises to be a stirring evening of song and patriotism in Dothan.
The event is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Covenant Methodist Church. John Philip Sousa’s work will be among the classics performed at the concert.
Additionally, there will be fresh pieces from regional sources. The event will feature an original composition by James Holmes, a teacher at Houston Academy.
The program will use song to praise God and the nation, featuring one of the best military bands in the nation and more than 100 choir singers. The public is welcome and admission is free.
