MARIANNA, FL (WDNews) — On Saturday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Chipola College Reddoch Range, situated at 3052 Calhoun Road in Marianna, will host a free Civilian Firearms Safety Course.
The goal of the course, which is being hosted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office in collaboration with Chipola College, is to inform the general public on Florida’s firearm regulations and safe handling procedures. Participants will learn about trigger control, grip and stance techniques, state statutes, correct unloading processes, and more.
Additionally, participants will get the opportunity to test-fire a variety of firearms and interact with a decision-making simulator that replicates actual deadly force situations.
