ENTERPRISE, AL. (WDNews) On Friday, July 19, Enterprise will host a free suicide prevention session that will provide practical instruction to assist people identify warning signals and take action to save lives.
The Intervene Challenge will take place at The Church on Boll Weevil Circle, which is situated at 2017 Boll Weevil Circle, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public can attend the training, which is organized by the Fight the War Within Foundation in collaboration with Stop Suicide U.S.A.
The goal of the Intervene Challenge is to teach participants how to recognize suicidal tendencies and how to get them the mental health treatment they require. There will be donuts available.
The foundation’s BRAVE program, Battle Buddies Ready to Assist Veterans Everywhere, which emphasizes peer support and intervention techniques tailored to veterans, will also be highlighted at this event. Through the program, veterans can find trained allies who are aware of the particular difficulties that veterans confront.
