WDNews, Montgomery, Alabama On Friday, June 27, the Alabama Attorney General’s Office and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) will jointly host a press conference to discuss a number of search warrants that were carried out at retail establishments throughout the state.

Search warrants were served at several CBD specialty businesses and vape shops in Troy, Enterprise, Clanton, and Wetumpka by special agents of the State Bureau of Investigation, in collaboration with the Attorney General’s Office and other law enforcement agencies, according to ALEA.

Following concerns that certain stores were breaking long-standing marijuana prohibitions, a months-long investigation was launched, culminating in the action. Large amounts of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found during the searches, according to the authorities, and are currently being processed and inventoried.

The Alabama Attorney General’s Office will host the press conference on Friday at 9 a.m.
