Dothan, Al. (WDNews) – Wiregrass Daily News met with Stephanie Harden, Social Services Coordinator for the City of Dothan Municipal Court, to learn more about the department’s efforts to support individuals struggling with substance abuse, mental health issues, and life after incarceration.

The department connects people with treatment, counseling, housing assistance, and other resources aimed at reducing repeat offenses and helping individuals reintegrate into the community.

On Tuesday, June 24, from 2 pm to 7 pm, the City of Dothan will host Community Advocacy Day at the Dothan Civic Center, located at 126 North St. Andrews Street.

The event is free and open to the public and will feature more than 50 vendors offering services related to substance abuse recovery, mental health, housing insecurity, and behavioral therapy for children with autism and other disorders.
